Taking place at the Geneva Hilton, the event features 20 speakers and panellists. AQC says strong expectations expressed during preparatory meetings helped shape a programme focused on regulation, impact measurement and accurate communication around leather.
Topics on today’s agenda include the latest updates on regulations and certifications, the impact of the shifting regulatory landscape on the value chain, and first results from impact measurement work on leather bracelets (LCA+). Attendees will also hear news and insights from chemical producers, farmers, tanners, bracelet manufacturers, watch brands and independent experts.
AQC has also unveiled a new leather fact flyer developed with the AQC Leather Community, part of its ongoing effort to ensure the material is “presented in the right light”. The organisation has reaffirmed its support for initiatives that promote factual understanding of leather and recently signed the International Council of Tanners’
Manifesto for Leather on the occasion of COP30.
