French footwear company Groupe Royer has applied to the courts for protection to help it avoid going out of business.
The group, owner of the Kickers brand in most markets, announced on October 29 that it had asked to be placed under judicial reorganisation.
This means it will be under court supervision as it tries to continue operating while restructuring its business.
