Bangladeshi leather exports began the new financial year with strong growth, according to the latest data from the Export Promotion Bureau.
In July 2025, exports of leather and leather products were up 29.65% to US$127.38 million. Exports of leather alone were up 21.9% to US$9.24 million, while exports of leather products saw growth of 41.54% to US$38.33 million.
Leather footwear exports grew by 25.52% to US$79.82 million in the first month of the fiscal year, and other footwear exports (non-leather), grew 44.45% to US$51.41 million.
