Representatives of the Italian tanning industry have taken an exhibition called The Beauty of the Italian Tanning Industry to China.
Industry body UNIC launched the exhibition last year in Milan in October 2022. This autumn, UNIC took the exhibition on the road to China, with the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology as the first venue.
From the Chinese capital, the event will travel on to Guangzhou and then Shanghai.
UNIC said it was also weighing up the possibility of adding Shenzhen as a destination for the exhibition. It is already preparing a workshop on the use of Italian leather in interior design projects in the southern city in the first months of 2024.
