The 5th Session of the 9th Council Enlarged Meeting of China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), themed with " Technology & Intelligence leading the Future", was held in Shanghai on Sep.1st, 2025.At the meeting, Li Yuzhong, Vice Chairman of China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC) and Chairman of CLIA, analyzed the economic performance of China's leather industry in 2024 and the first half of 2025. The following documents were reviewed and approved: "2025 Annual Work Report of CLIA", "Proposal on 2026 Annual Work Plan of CLIA", "2024 Income and Expenditure Report of Membership Fees for CLIA", "Proposal on Establishing the Leading Group for Re-election of the Council of CLIA ", "Proposal on the Addition of Standing Council Members and Council Members for the 9th Council of CLIA in 2025". The meeting also awarded outstanding organizations and individuals in the leather industry over the past years.

The signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreements between CLIA and local governments for the collaborative development of leather and luggage industrial clusters was held in the meeting. CLIA signed the strategic cooperation agreements with the government of Wuji County, the government of Guanghe County, and the government of Hui'an County respectively.
