From September 3rd to 5th, 2025, the "Moda
China" International Shoes, Bags and Apparel Fashion Fair, organized by
China Leather Industry Association, was successfully held at the Shanghai New
International Expo Center in China. This fashion fair covered an area of 20,000
square meters, attracting over 260 mid-to-high-end brands to participate, representing
the highest level of China's shoes, bags, leather and fur clothing sectors. At
the same time, it has attracted foreign buyers from Europe, Russia, Australia,
New Zealand, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and other countries
and regions, as well as domestic buyers from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shenzhen and
other regions to visit and make orders on site. In addition, in
collaboration with the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), the largest leather
materials exhibition in Asia, the total area of the two exhibitions has
reached 105,000 square meters, forming the world's largest leather exhibition
covering the entire leather industry chain. It is also a comprehensive
exhibition showcasing the most cutting-edge technologies, new products and new
design of China's leather industry.
This fashion fair is not only an important platform
for business negotiations, but also a grand event that integrates trend
releases, cultural displays, fashion shows, international conferences, new
product promotions, influencers' product selection, business training, brand
promotion and handicraft experiences. Participated
by mid-to-high-end brands, it is a giant feast for the exchange and communication of Chinese and global fashion.
Leading enterprises highlighting the strength of
Chinese brands
The fashion fair was divided into eight exhibition
areas: footwear area, bags and luggage area, leather and fur apparel area,
time-honored brand and intangible cultural heritage area, trend release area,
handicraft experience area, designer area, and live-streaming e-commerce area.
Each exhibition area showcased its unique charm and characteristics. The
eye-catching leather and fur apparel series representing the world's highest
craftsmanship level, well-known Chinese leather and fur apparel brands such as
Xuebao, KC, ENAGA, Bingfeitianshi, Baerni, Zul’Aman, Felefasa, Ofeiya and
Longsheng have demonstrated outstanding product quality and taste, attracted many
international buyers to visit and communicate.
The footwear exhibition area showcased a wide range of latest
designed shoes, from classic business style to avant-garde trends,
from practical casual to luxurious dinner parties, catering to the dressing needs of various occasions. Famous footwear enterprises such as Belle,
Yearcon, Jinho, Kangnai, Red Dragonfly, C.Banner, Desai, DUSTO, Haiyu,
Chunjiang, Aolong, Baihua, Fengdun, Jimi Panda and Dalijingang showcased on the
same stage. The 3D printed footwear representing the highest level in China
attracted the attention of many domestic and foreign buyers.
The luggage and leather goods exhibition area was also
splendid, with a wide variety of bags and accessories on display. Well-known
brands of luggage and leather goods such as New Comer, GNZA, Travel House,
KINGSONS, Kala.y, ENDR and Powerland all showcased their new products,
including both elegant and simple business styles as well as exquisite and
unique fashion items. The materials ranged from traditional leather to
innovative eco-friendly materials, and the craftsmanship from meticulous
handcrafting to modern intelligent manufacturing, demonstrating the latest
development achievements of the industry.
A full
range of products offered by the industrial clusters to meet global demands
under the guidance of governments
This fashion fair has received strong support from the
governments of over 20 industrial clusters, including leather and fur clothing
industrial clusters such as Haining, Xinji, Yuyao, Chongfu, Tongerpu, Daying
and Lukou, as well as shoe industrial clusters such as Wenzhou, Jinjiang,
Putian, Huidong, Suzhou, Suixian, Wenling, Gaomi, Danyang, Yinan, Yanshi and
Wuhou. In addition, the luggage and bags industrial clusters such as Shiling,
Pinghu, Baigou, Shaodong, Lanshan, Hui 'an and Nantai all organized local pavilions to participate in the fair, showcasing a full range of new products including
leather jackets, fur coats, slippers, cloth shoes, leather shoes, sports shoes,
casual shoes, work shoes, children's shoes, 3D printed shoes, suitcases, travel
bags, school bags, business bags and fashionable backpacks, which demonstrated
the power of China's characteristic industrial clusters.
The Moda China fashion fair was held concurrently with
ACLE, the largest raw material exhibition for the leather industry in Asia,
forming a complete industrial chain from leather, leather chemicals, leather machinery
to finished products such as shoes, bags and garments. It provided a one-stop
procurement platform from raw material to finished product, reducing the procurement costs and saving more time for buyers.
A cultural
journey with varieties of activities
A series of rich and colorful activities were
held during the fair. International Footwear Technology Conference, International
Tanning Industry Development Summit, China International Designer Forum,
Recommendation of the Top 10 Designers of leather Industry, International
Renowned Fashion Designer and Ethnic Costume Show, New Product and New
Technology Release, Matchmaking for Shoes and Bags Entering the United Nations
Procurement Market, Promotion Conference for Live-streaming E-commerce and
Cross-border E-commerce, Promotion Conference for Characteristic Industrial
clusters, Leather Knowledge Training for Live-streaming Influencer and on-site
handcraft experiences have brought boundless vitality and vigor to the fair.
The fair also provided exhibitors and professional visitors with information on
industrial development trends, brands updates and fashion trends, ensuring that
every visitor had a worthwhile experience.
The exhibition of China's intangible cultural heritage
and time-honored brands had became a major highlight of this fashion show.
Chinese time-honored brands Neiliansheng, Shanghai Leather Shoe Factory and
Jinfuxiang, which have a history of over a hundred years, showcased their
unique thousand-layer sole cloth shoes to the audience, demonstrating their
exquisite handcrafting skills. At the same time, it also gathered the
outstanding works of many intangible cultural heritage artists. Mr. Lin Junyi,
the ambassador for the inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of Tujia brocade,
brought his elaborate handmade leather bag to
the fair. The brand Su Xin Lv presented a variety of exquisite cloth shoes. By
combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, it showcased
the new fashion of Chinese cloth shoes. Zhaofeng Leather Art showcased
exquisite leather carvings and paintings, demonstrating the artistic
expressiveness of leather materials through its superb leather carving skills.
It is particularly worth mentioning that two
professional shoe culture museums have held a significant exhibition in the cultural
and museum area. The Harbin Huaxia Shoe Culture Museum, with a collection of cloth
shoes of Ming Dynasty, traditional shoes of Qing Dynasty and
celebrity shoe lasts, and Jinfuxiang Shoe Culture Museum, with a collection of over
a thousand pairs of shoes from various dynasties, both brought their precious
collection exhibits. These footwear antiques not only showcased the long history
of shoemaking craftsmanship of China, but also opened a window for domestic and
foreign audiences to understand the development of traditional Chinese footwear
culture.
The 2026 Moda China International Shoes, Bags and
Apparel Fashion Fair will be held from September 1st to 3rd,2026 in Shanghai.
