Putian in Fujian Province, known as the "shoe city", achieved a total export value of 13.7 billion yuan, representing a growth of 30.5% year on year.

There are more than 20 production lines in one of Putian shoemaking factories, which is running at full capacity for processing of sports shoes order from Panama. Mr. Fang Zhiyuan, Owner of factory said the value of business orders we received amounted to 1.17 billion yuan in the first nine months, and increased by 150% year-on-year.

Currently there are more than 4,200 shoemaking factories in Putian City. Footwear export in Putian has maintained positive growth for 21 consecutive months, and ranking the first in exported commodities in Putian city, footwear export accounts for 48.6% of the city’ total export value.
