General Introduction

China Leather Garment Commission is a branch affiliated to China Leather Industry Association. Its task is to be a useful link between government and enterprises while providing better services the industry. China Leather Garment Commission consists of Leather Garment manufacturers, universities, scientific research institutes, Leather Garment traders, as well as relevant enterprises.

● Through “Genuine Leather Mark”and “Eco-leather Mark”, implement a brand strategy.

● Advocate technology progress and organize technical training;

● Hold exhibitions and brand displays, and assist enterprises to expand in markets both at home and abroad.

● Provide information and consulting services.

● Formulate industrial rules and regulations, and strengthen industry self-discipline.

● Carry on industrial safety investigation, release industrial information on warnings and precautions.

● Participate in international exchange, and promote international cooperation.

Industrial Introduction

Leather garment industry is an important sector of the leather industry. Presently, China has more than 2000 leather garment production enterprises, with over 300,000 employees. China is a big leather garment exporter, and according to UN statistics, in 2011, China exported about 17 million items.

China’s leather garment production is mainly concentrated in regions such as Hebei, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong and other places, among which, Xinji of Hebei, Haining of Zhejiang, Tongerpu of Liaoning are important leather garments industrial sites.
